Meet Dr. Vasilakos
Dr. Laura Vasilakos is a friendly, compassionate listener attentive to your vision care needs. A former science teacher, she enjoys examining infants and children with a fun, creative style. Since graduating from the New England School of Optometry in 2005, she understands that there is more to vision than just seeing 20/20. She works with children who have vision problems that interfere with their ability to read, learn and comprehend.
Dr. Vasilakos lives in Hingham with her husband, two daughters and her ‘third’ daughter, a Shetland Sheep dog. Her life involves spending time with her family while caring for her patients. In addition, she volunteers as a Girl Scout troop leader, sings in local choirs and stays active by jogging, swimming and practicing yoga.
Clinical interests include myopia control, vision therapy and contact lenses.
